About
Why this site exists, and who's writing it
I'm Johan — a freelancer running a one-person business, same as most people reading this. Somewhere along the way I ended up with a browser full of AI tools I'd tried, half-abandoned, or actually kept paying for. Solo Stack is the write-up of that process: what's actually worth adding to a solo setup, and what's just well-marketed.
What this site is not
It's not a "top 50 AI tools" listicle padded out to rank for a keyword. Every tool covered here gets picked because it solves a specific, common problem for someone running a business alone — a funnel, an email list, a video edit, a mountain of writing. If a tool doesn't clear that bar, it doesn't get a page.
How tools get picked and written up
Reviews are written from a mix of hands-on use, the tool's own documentation, and public user feedback — I say so directly in each article rather than implying I've run a six-month test I haven't. If something's a genuine guess or an estimate (like pricing, which changes), the article says that too, instead of printing a number I can't stand behind.
How this site makes money
Some links are affiliate links — mainly Systeme.io right now, clearly marked with a disclosure at the top of any article that uses one. Tools without an approved affiliate program get a plain link to their own site instead, with no commission attached. I'm not going to dress up a regular link as something it isn't.
